We are seeking volunteers for the following volunteer positions:

Family Fundraising Project Management

Support families who are setting up online or ins person fundraisers and events.

Stay up to date on what other organizations are doing: research, family, support, recruiting strategies, fundraising, etc.

Organizational skills, ability to search via web browsers and compile information

Help with conference planning, promotion, and/or onsite coordination.

Regional Ambassador

Our regional ambassadors are responsible for building a supportive OCNDS community within their assigned region. Regional ambassadors connect with families as they navigate the social and emotional challenges of diagnosis, treatment, and management. They are a liaison between the families and the foundation, identifying issues and challenges that are unique to specific regions.

Ability to gather and share resources for OCNDS families in your region. Host zoom calls every 6 months and an informal gathering once per year for OCNDS families living within the region.

Parent Advisory Board

Parent Advisory Board advises our Board of Directors and Chief Scientific Officer, brainstorms ideas, and shares insights from the parent perspective related to OCNDS.

English-speaking, parent or caregiver of an individual with OCNDS, ability to meet 6x per year, ability to provide written feedback to foundation staff with 1-2 week response times, desire to be a representative of the foundation. 2-year commitment, limit to ages 21+.

Website Reviewer

Generate a list of updates needed for our website (monthly, quarterly, annually)

Organizational skills, attention to detail

Amazon Associates Program / Amazon Storefront 

Lead the development of an Amazon Storefront for the foundation including set-up, listing items, obtaining feedback from the community regarding items to promote, sharing the storefront broadly, etc.

Organizational skills, comfort speaking with others, general computer skills, knowledge of using Amazon

Transition to Adulthood Packet Review

Review existing packing on transition to adulthood and provide suggestions for edits.

Organizational skills, attention to detail

General Interest

Volunteers who are interested in serving in a general capacity. They are willing to serve in any way they can be helpful, and/or they want to be informed of volunteer opportunities in the future.
